From County Road 1 (= Gelert Road) at Lochlin, turn north on Lochlin Road (beside the Lochlin Community Centre). Just over 1 km north, turn left (west) on Warder Road and proceed to the Wrights' lane at #1126 on the north side. In case anyone gets lost, the Wrights' phone number is 705-286-3659.

OUTING: Orchid Walk

Outing to observe plants, birds, insects, etc. at the spectacular bog, fen, esker, forest, and meadows owned by Don and Mary Wright near Lochlin, Haliburton County. The specialties are orchids and other bog plants.

Before the outing, check the website at lochlinesker.com for a great introduction to their property and its flora and fauna.

Bring lunch, water, boots, hiking stick, camera, fly repellent.
